The Hungarian Fintech Association (HFA) is an industry association that unites all members of the Hungarian fintech ecosystem, from startups to mature businesses, as well as incubators and accelerators. Our goal is to help decision-makers, regulators and financial institutions to better understand the local fintech sector and its needs. Our vision is for Hungary to become an attractive country for fintech companies, offering growth and development opportunities.

To promote the development and growth of the domestic fintech sector, we collaborate with authorities, institutional stakeholders, other industries, and the media. We prepare analyses and background materials to provide an accurate understanding of the operations of fintech companies in Hungary. We organize regular networking opportunities for ecosystem members through our events, focusing on knowledge sharing, disseminating international best practices, and strengthening the fintech community.

The Association is governed by a five-member board, led by the President. The Board is elected by the members at the general assembly, ensuring their professional expertise and active connection to the fintech ecosystem.

Our members also receive firsthand notification about planned changes in legislation.
